Tim Barnes Promoted to 1st Pacific CU CEO

VALLEJO, Calif. -- 1st Pacific Credit Union didn't have to look too far to find its new leader.

The credit union has promoted Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer Tim Barnes to CEO.

Barnes fills the spot left when the credit union's longtime CEO Larry Tierney retired.

Barnes, a 30-year veteran of the financial services industry with a background in finance, audit and commercial lending, has been a credit union CFO for 13 years; eight which is at 1st Pacific. Prior to joining 1st Pacific CU he served as CFO at Embarcadero Federal Credit Union in San Francisco.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from West Virginia University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado. Barnes has also attended the CUES CEO Institute.
