Church Latest to Drive Michigan First's Business Loan Program

LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich. -- The Allen Temple C.M.E. Church will soon undergo renovations thanks to a commercial loan from Michigan First Credit Union.

The $462 million Michigan First, working with the Michigan Business Connection, a business lending CUSO, provided its 10th loan to the Detroit-based church. The credit union launched its business lending and services program in early 2007 and closed its first business in loan last October providing funding to repair and renovate a 17-unit apartment building in Detroit.

Michigan First serves more than 74,000 members.
