ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- PSCU Financial Services, the payments CUSO with over 500 member credit unions who process their card transactions on the First Data Corp. card platform, has created a new position to oversee its growing debit programs.
The CUSO named Tom Gandre to the position of chief debit officer. In this capacity Gandre will guide the CUSO's debit services unit, which continues to report strong year-over-year growth in transactions, ATM driving, and participation by new credit unions, PSCU said. The cooperative's debit group reported servicing over 200 credit unions, 700 ATMs, and processing more than 7 million accounts that generate over 500 million transactions annually.
Prior to joining PSCU Financial Services, Gandre was First Data Corp's senior vice president of product development and management. In that role Gandre was responsible for new development and ongoing product management for the debit services division, which included debit products authorized by personal identification numbers or signatures, prepaid products, fraud and risk solutions, ATM products, and the STAR Network.
