MANISTEE, Mich. -- Filer Credit Union has turned to its core processor to take on yet another role, its "vice president of lending," the company and credit union said.
The $68 million CU is using the Lender*VP solution from CU*Answers to develop and manage loan processes. The Grand Rapids-based CUSO also provides on-site management assistance as part of the solution.
Filer CU CEO Dave Ohman said in addition to the software, a "a Lender*VP expert literally visits with my team one day weekly and works directly with them for designing new loan product offerings, policies, procedures and marketing strategies," which has helped the CU through management staffing changes.
The Lender*VP solution includes lending products, staff training, policy and procedure development, monthly reports and call center support for outbound loan marketing.
