Riverset CU, Duke FCU May Merge

PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Riverset Credit Union has filed an application to merge with Duke Federal Credit Union.

The filing comes two days after $87 million Riverset officially unveiled its new name on Jan. 1. Previously known as Pittsburgh Teachers Credit Union, Riverset filed an application on Jan. 3 to merge with $1 million Duke FCU, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Banking.

On Dec. 3, Riverset filed an amendment to its articles of incorporation to provide service to the underserved and low-income area served by Duke FCU.

Pittsburgh-based Duke FCU serves roughly 500 members. Riverset FCU serves more than 13,000 members.
