Michigan Educational CU Expands Open Solutions Commitment

PLYMOUTH, Mich. -- Michigan Educational Credit Union will be converting to the flagship core processing platform offered by Open Solutions Inc.

The $490 million CU currently runs on the CyberBranch platform and will be converting to The Complete Credit Union Solution (TCCUS) platform through Open Solutions' service center in Cherry Hill, N.J.

CyberBranch was the core offering from CU Tech/CGI before that Michigan-based operation was acquired in 2005 by Open Solutions. Michigan Educational CU also is a longtime client of COWWW Software, an information archive and delivery system provider also acquired in 2006 by Open Solutions.

"With the open architecture of TCCUS, we are gaining a more modern infrastructure, which in turn will give us the ability to easily interface and share information," said Mark Pugliese, chief operating officer at 50,000-member Michigan Educational CU.

The CU also will use Connecticut-based Open Solutions' cView CRM/business intelligence, general ledger and StreamLend Velocity loan origination applications.
