MaPS Credit Union Board Members Re-elected

SALEM, Ore. -- Community leaders Judy Beebe, Del Cornutt and Joe Phillippay were re-elected to the MaPS board of directors.

Beebe has an extensive financial management background, including vice president of finance at Kaiser Permanente Federal Credit Union and chief financial officer at ORCO State Employees Federal Credit Union. She has been an adjunct professor at Chemeketa Community College since 2000 and at Western Oregon University since 2001, primarily teaching accounting and management courses.

Cornutt retired from full-time teaching in 2003 but continues to work for Chemeketa Community College as adjunct faculty. A MaPS Credit Union member for more than 20 years, he also serves on the board of managers of Credit Union Wireless, a wholly owned subsidiary of the credit union. Cornutt formed DRC Research in 1979, a political polling and marketing research consulting company. Cornutt holds a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Southern Oregon College and a master of arts degree in sociology from the University of Idaho.

Phillippay has been a MaPS board director since 1995 and chairman since 2003. He also serves on the MaPS Insurance Services LLC Board of Managers. Prior to his retirement in March 2001, he was employed as vice president/account executive for Acordia/Wells Fargo. For 11 years previously, he was senior vice president for Sedgwick, Inc., a multi-national insurance brokerage firm. He founded and operated an independent insurance agency in Salem, Phillippay & Co., 1970-1987. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Oregon.
