Redwood Raises Over $67,000 for United Way

SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- Redwood Credit Union recently demonstrated that giving is a year-round event.

The credit union has completed its 2007 United Way campaign, with a record contribution of $67,619, exceeding its goal of $63,500 by 6%, and exceeding last year's United Way fundraising efforts by more than $10,000.

RCU incentives to encourage employees to contribute ranged from weekly prize raffles, casual days and a company paid lunch, to ice cream parties, and a car wash where the RCU's CEO and senior leadership team washed employees' cars. As an incentive to pledge early, the credit union also raffled an iPod Nano.

The incentive mix resulted in RCU meeting its goal early in the second week of its four-week campaign.
