Texans CU to Convert to Open Solutions Core Platform

GLASTONBURY, Conn. -- Texans Credit Union will be converting to The Complete Credit Union Solution from Open Solutions Inc., the company says.

The $1.9 billion CU currently is an IntegraSys client, according to the NCUA Web site.

Commercial lending and deposit capabilities were key to the decision to convert to Open Solution's The Complete Credit Union Solution, the CU says.

"To be successful, we realized the need for a sophisticated core platform with the advanced capability and logic to efficiently process commercial transactions, including loans and deposits," says Greg Gallant, executive vice president and chief operations officer at Texans CU.

Based in Richardson, Texas, the 156,000-member CU has 30 branches throughout north Texas, Austin and Houston.

The conversion is expected to take place this fall. Texans CU also has committed to Open Solutions' overdraft protection, loan participation, CRM, safe deposit box, positive pay and shared branching solutions, the company says.
