WASHINGTON -- CUNA's latest "Mica Minute" posted on You Tube capitalized on the recent release of the Government Accountability Office study on banks' tax savings and income versus credit unions.
"What do you do when the bankers go to the Congress and mislead them or just plain lie," CUNA President/CEO Dan Mica asks viewers of his blog. He also cites numerous findings of the study.
He pointed a finger right at the banks', stating, "This fed study has said [the banks] are misleading the Congress and we ought to say you better to stop it."
The GAO study showed bankers profits are growing faster than any other financial institution. It also showed that an increasing percentage of banker profits is coming from fees.
