New Achieva CU President/CEO Named

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Achieva Credit Union has found a successor for retiring president/CEO Wendell Brooks.
The approximately $600 million credit union has recently appointed Joseph Newberry to the top spot.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome Joseph to our institution," said Achieva CU Board Chair Hugh Kriever. "His extensive background in the credit union industry lends him a unique insight into new avenues for growth at Achieva."

The former Redstone Federal Credit Union executive vice president has over 30 years of experience in the financial service sector and has overseen and managed multiple facets of operations.

He is credited with helping to propel Redstone FCU to new heights within the marketplace, leaving behind a legacy of outstanding member service.

As an active member of the community, Newberry has continuously represented the credit union industry and has a distinguished record of honors and awards.

Awarded Lifetime Membership to the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, Newberry recruited new membership and continues to work diligently to implement new community-enhancement measures. Newberry also works directly with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Finance Committee and the American Red Cross of Madison and Marshall counties.

"Achieva Credit Union has a long history of providing its members with excellent financial services, and that is why it is among the leaders in the credit union industry in Florida. I look forward to upholding the level of excellence and to continue providing the best products and services to Achieva's membership," said Newberry.
