Longmont Chamber of Commerce and St. Vrain Valley School District have named St. Vrain Valley Credit Union, Longmont, Colo., as "Business Partner of the Year 2006." The award is given to a company making outstanding contributions to education in the community. St. Vrain Valley CU is committed to education for students in the school district and delivers classroom presentations focusing on money management. The CU also has a student-run branch in Skyline High School and supports the "Alive at 25" driver safety program. Memphis Area Teacher's Credit Union, Memphis, Tenn., was named as Top of the List 2006 for credit unions. Top of the List is an award given annually by the Memphis Business Journal in which businesses are ranked based on key market criteria. The List, which ranks credit unions by assets as of March 31, 2006, put MATCU at the top in the Memphis area with $514.1 million.
