OnPoint Community Ads Illuminating Rail Passengers

PORTLAND, Ore. -- When it comes to recent advertising campaigns, OnPoint Community Credit Union's plan for local rail trains may be the brightest.

The 180,000-member CU is illuminating its message on local TriMet light rail trains through GlowSkin Active Illumination Technology from manufacturer Safe Lites, LLC. The CU is using the tag lines, "Smart money starts with one good decision" and "Simply smarter banking at onpointcu.com."

GlowSkin is Safe Lites' proprietary specification of industrial-grade electroluminescent lighting. The powered lighting system glows rather than shines, does not affect night vision and is designed to stand up to harsh outdoor conditions while improving visibility.

"Last September we unveiled our first GlowSkin train and it created a real 'buzz' in the advertising community," said Brad Kleiner, vice president and general manager for Lamar Transit Advertising in Portland. "We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer this unique product to OnPoint, an equally unique Oregon Company."
