LOWELL, Mass. -- To help its employees receive extra training in leadership and management skills, project management, process improvement, sales and time management, Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union recently received a grant from the state for $138,355.
Ten Massachusetts companies received their share of $1 million in workforce training grants from the state's Department of Workforce Development.
The $623 million CU said it plans to use the grant money to train 125 employees. Training is scheduled to begin this month and run for 18 months.
The other nine grant recipients were Plexus Services Corp., Hologic Inc., GES U.S., One Stop Business Centers Inc., DSM NeoResins Inc., Butler Bank, Azonix Corp., and Coating Systems Inc.
The Department of Workforce Development issues workforce training grants each quarter.
