BROOKFIELD, Wis. -- Fiserv says its seven Credit Union Group units converted 33 new credit union clients to their core systems in 2006 and now provide core processing to 2,715 credit unions nationwide.
Another 49 credit unions signed core processing agreements with Fiserv units in 2006, and 973 credit unions renewed contracts. Together, those new contracts and renewals account for more than 6.9 million member accounts. The company says it also now provides core processing services to more than one-third of all credit unions with $1 billion in assets or more.
Key product launches included fraud monitoring and detection tools, member ID verification, multifactor authentication, online bill payment, data warehousing, online account enrollment, call center and audio response integration, member relationship management, health savings accounts and financial management.
"The Fiserv Wisdom Financial Management Suite is a prime example of our approach to rolling out common products across our core processors," said Tom Neill, Fiserv's group president of depository institution processing. He says the Wisdom suite is now used by more than 500 credit unions.
The seven Fiserv credit union core processors are AFTECH, CUSA Technologies, GalaxyPlus, IntegraSys, USERS Inc., XP Systems and Summit Information Systems.
