American Airlines Goes with CO-OP Financial Services
ONTARIO, Calif. -- The $4.1 million American Airlines Federal Credit Union has chosen CO-OP Financial Services for ATM driving and debit card processing. The credit union has more than 204,000 members, 131 ATM's and more than five million debit cards.
The CU already participates in CO-OP Networks' 25,000 surcharge-free and deposit-taking ATM Network. In addition to expanding their services with CO-OP to include full EFT processing, AA Credit Union has also partnered with CO-OP on two programs to deploy ATMs at LAX Airport in Los Angeles and the Salt Lake City Airport in Utah.
Located in Fort Worth, Texas, AA Credit Union was founded in 1936 by a small group of American Airlines employees and has grown to more than $4 billion in assets. AA Credit Union became a CO-OP member-shareholder in 1999.
"We chose to partner with CO-OP because throughout our relationship they've always been committed to providing quality products and services to our members," said John Tippets, CEO of AA Credit Union. "Plus, we were looking to retain our association with eFunds and CO-OP's long-standing affiliation with them allows us to do so."
"AA Credit Union has been a CO-OP Network member for over seven years and this expanded partnership is the natural progression in our relationship," said Stan Hollen, CEO, CO-OP Financial Services, which currently boasts ATMs in 50 states and 10 countries. "It's gratifying that AA Credit Union's management has now included CO-OP's comprehensive package of services as part of their complete EFT solution."
