RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. -- The 26th Annual XP Systems Customer Conference took place October 16-19 in Rancho Mirage, Calif. XP Systems is a credit union data processing subsidiary of Fiserv. Attendance topped 450 credit union employees, business partners, and XP Systems personnel. In the general session opening, XP Systems President John Edwards and XP Systems Executive Vice President Mark DeLio discussed the company's vision. Mark Sievewright of Fiserv discussed trends and consolidation in the credit union industry and wrapping up the session, astronaut and former Space Shuttle Commander Rick Searfoss compared the challenges of taking a craft into space to the challenges faced by business leaders today. Two days of breakout sessions presented new products from XP Systems including XP2 ComCore (commercial services integrated in the core system) and new products from Fiserv business partners, such as the Wisdom Accounting Suite. Other business partners among the 38 vendor companies in attendance included PEMCO and IMM. A lab was available throughout the conference for attendees to work hands-on with new software.
