TCUL Shines on Lone Star Winners

HOUSTON and THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Texas Credit Union League's 11th Annual Lone Star Awards honored several marketing powerhouses during its annual conference.

The Lone Star Awards recognizes excellence in credit union marketing, public relations, and business development.

Among the credit unions singled out, United Heritage Credit Union's marketing department received five awards in four categories. The credit union received first place and an award of merit in the public relations category for its Cedar Park grand opening/community donation campaign and supply drive for troops in Iraq; second place in the annual report category; award of merit in the radio/TV advertising category for its $5,000 Kitchen Giveaway promotion; and an award of merit in the special events category for the Cedar Park grand opening.

Over in The Woodlands, Texas, the marketing and advertising practice of D. Hilton Associates walked away with 13 Lone Star Awards.

The award highlights based on asset size include: First Place, Harris County Federal Credit Union Annual Report; Second Place, Bluebonnet Federal Credit Union Annual Report; Second Place, TDECU Annual Report; Second Place, Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union Logos; Second Place, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union Direct Mail; Second Place, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union Annual Report; Merit Award, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union, Retail Merchandising or Branding; Merit Award, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union, Newsletters; Merit Award, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union, Public Relations; Merit Award, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union, Internal Marketing; Merit Award, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union, Special Events; and Merit Award, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union, Other Marketing.
