KENSINGTON, Md. -- As the $332 million Lafayette Federal Credit Union continues working through the process of converting to a mutual bank, the credit union will officially open its newest branch in a lower income, predominantly Hispanic part of Washington, D.C.
The Columbia Heights branch has been functional for some time, but is only now being opened with a ceremony.
