SEATTLE -- There is a new name change on the horizon for King County Credit Union.
Effective December 1, 2006 the credit union will become Prevail Credit Union.
"We remain steadfast in our dedication to serving King County government and Metro employees as well as extending the same value of membership to anyone who lives or works in Washington," said KCCU President Tom Graves about the name change.
The new name is designed to not only strategically position the credit union to realize optimum growth potential, but also help foster a more inclusive brand image.
A yearlong, in-depth research process that included focus groups of potential members and existing members revealed that Prevail CU stood out as making the greatest emotional connection across all groups.
