Ten Corporates Team Up for 'Dare To Compete'
ST. LOUIS -- With other financial institutions vying for the affections of members, 10 corporates teamed up to encourage CUs to compete.
On November 15-17, 2007 at the Millennium Hotel in St. Louis, the corporate credit union joint conference, "Dare To Compete," will address timely questions like: How do credit unions become more competitive? How can credit unions be successful competing against larger institutions? And what are the secrets to a successful operation?
The conference will feature speakers both inside and outside the credit union movement who will present attendees a view they may not typically see. The conference will also include a panel discussion among credit union CEOs who represent some of the fastest growing credit unions in the nation, both in terms of numbers of members as well as assets. They will share with the audience the key elements that have enabled them to achieve strong growth organically, not by merger.
Sessions will include, "Take It To The Next Level: A Story of the Quest for Quality and the Malcolm Baldrige Award"; "Up Against The Wal-Marts: How Your Business Can Prosper In The Shadow Of The Retail Giants"; Panel Discussion On CU Competition; and Facing The Competitive Ogres With Heart.
Speakers include: Don Taylor, syndicated business columnist, small business analyst, and national speaker; Dale Crownover, president/CEO of Texas Nameplate Company; Rory Rowland, international trainer and consultant specializing in communications and technology issues; and Tim McGuire, columnist.
The corporates co-sponsoring "Dare To Compete" are: Central Credit Union Fund, Inc., Corporate America, Kansas Corporate, Kentucky Corporate Federal, Louisiana Corporate, Midwest Corporate Federal, Missouri Corporate, Treasure State Corporate, Tricorp Federal, and West Virginia Corporate.
