GenFed Federal Credit Union, Akron, Ohio, awarded $1,000 to three GenFed members as part of its scholarship program. Two of the winners won the Carroll Prather Young Scholarship, which was established in 1998, and honors William Prather, Homer Carroll and Jack Young, three men who contributed to the success of the CU. One winner was chosen to receive the Wadsworth Community Scholarship that is available to high school students, college students, or graduate school students living or working in Wadsworth community. Both scholarships are for the pursuit of academic achievement and were awarded to members who exhibit dedication to service and hard work.
