Founders Federal Credit Union, Lancaster, S.C., recently honored the recipients of its 2006 Laura M. Fleming Scholarships. Four recipients were chosen from over 60 applicants. The winners are David Pinkham, Brittany Murphy, Ja'Pel Sumpter and Jill Wessinger. Each recipient received $1,000 per year to attend the college or university of their choice. Founders established the Laura M. Fleming Scholarship Fund in memory of its former president and CEO. The purpose of the fund is to provide funding to gifted future leaders, in the spirit of Founder's former leader.
