Eastern Financial Florida Credit Union, Miramar, Fla., recently opened its 25th branch. The new office, located in Hialeah, was immediately busy with 12 members opening safety deposit boxes on the first soft opening day. The branch, managed by Esther Jacomino, also set records for new account activity for a new Eastern Financial branch in its first week. The grand opening party featured a 3-piece Latin jazz combo, a 1950s Havana theme and visits from Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina and three city commissioners. MacDill Federal Credit Union, Tampa, Fla., celebrated the grand opening of its newest branch in Manatee County. The Lakewood Ranch office features such conveniences as drive-thru tellers and ATMs and will provide a comprehensive array of financial products and services to MacDill members. This is the 18th branch the CU has opened.
