Robins FCU's New `Affordable First'

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. - The more than 126,000 members of Robins FCU that want to finance their home purchase through a mortgage from the credit union now have a new option to make the process more affordable.

Purchasing a new home is one of the biggest investments people make, and now Robins FCU's new Affordable First mortgage loan program features education and tools to inform homebuyers about the process of owning a home.

Qualified applicants can apply for a mortgage with no downpayment and are only charged one-half a percent origination fee, instead of the normal three-quarters of a percent fee.

The CU will go up to 100% loan-to-value on the mortgage. The maximum loan that can be approved under the Affordable First program is $125,000 with a maximum purchase price of $130,000.

Robins FCU has more than $980 million in assets and 16 branches throughout Georgia.
