CHANTILLY, Va. - Justice Federal Credit Union has chosen a suburban D.C. network integration specialist to take on the challenging job of connecting the IT infrastructure of the $387 million CU's 17 branches, many of them in secured locations. McLean-based Global Internetworking already has deployed and is managing a wide-area network between Justice FCU's headquarters, its new branch in a federal courthouse in Washington, D.C., and a member call center in Clarksburg, W.Va. The network-which includes private line and IP connectivity from a number of vendors-now will be expanded to the nationwide credit union's other operations. The credit union serves Justice and Homeland Security employees and law-enforcement associations and its branches in secure locations can present particular challenges for IT and other vendors, says Rifat Ikram, the CU's IT manager, who says he was pleased with Global Internetworking's ability to work in those settings.
