NEW BERLIN, Wis. - Landmark CU members now have a way to earn redeemable Rewards points that can be used for a wide variety of merchandise, gift cards or travel benefits by using their new Landmark Rewards Checking account. The Landmark Rewards Checking account is totally free, with no monthly fees or per-check charges and no minimum balance requirement. The account features a check card with no annual fee that pays rewards earned at the rate of one point for every $2 in non-PIN check card purchases. Details on the redeemable products and procedure are available at www.Points2U.com, and members are able to access their private points account to see how many points they've accumulated. Landmark President/CEO Ron Kase said the Landmark Rewards Checking account is another way for the CU to reward its members for using Landmark services. According to a recent Membership Benefits Report from CUNA's Economics and Statistics Department, Landmark provided more than $13 million in direct financial benefits to its more than 117,000 members during the 12 months ending June 2005. The benefits are equivalent to $112 per member or about $214 per member household. In addition, CUNA estimates Landmark CU provided loyal, high-use member households $630 in direct financial benefits during the same 12-month period.
