Sandy Smith, president/CEO of Texas Federal Credit Union in Dallas, will be honored by her board and staff for her 20th anniversary with the credit union at its 59th annual meeting on March 29. Lacamas Community Credit Union, Camas, Wash., will have a yearlong celebration in observance of its 70th anniversary of service to its members and community. Its first board meeting was held in 1936 and LCCU became the first credit union in Clark County. The celebration will begin on March 23 with a catered event, decadent desserts, door prizes, and a special historical display. Each guest will receive a gift bag with a 70th anniversary mug and pen and a 1936 silver half-dollar.
