Putnam FCU Salvation Army Donation to Benefit Hurricane Katrina Survivors

CARMEL, N.Y. - Putnam Federal Credit Union has donated $1,500 to the Putnam County Chapter of the Salvation Army to benefit those impacted by hurricanes in the Gulf Region. "The people helping people philosophy of credit unions takes on new meaning and importance in times of great national loss, which we experienced as the result of the storms of 2005," said PFCU President/CEO Salvatore Gambino. "We're proud to join in the hurricane relief effort." Funds donated to the Salvation Army will be used to help those in need with everything from disaster relief services to day care services.
