ST. PAUL, Minn. - Hiway Federal Credit Union (Hiway) has raised $7,498 to benefit victims of hurricanes through the American Red Cross. Hiway's Board of Directors unanimously approved a donation matching program specifically for hurricane relief efforts. All donations raised during the month of October were matched dollar for dollar by the credit union. In addition, staffers organized fundraisers ranging from lobby popcorn and pizza sales, to employee casual-dress days. "Not only did our employees contribute time, effort and money to this very worthwhile cause, but our members would overflow the donation jar without giving it a second thought," said Hiway President/CEO Jeff Schwalen.
