PHOENIX- Arizona Federal Credit Union Director of Community Services Laura Lowe Edgar has recently been tapped to serve on CUNA's Hispanic Resource Center Advisory Group. Edgar is currently responsible for the credit union's Hispanic marketing initiatives, development of services for the underserved and business development. Dedicated to helping credit unions attract and serve the Hispanic community, the advisory group will also focus on increasing awareness about the benefit of belonging to credit unions. As an advisory group member Edgar will help identify, initiate and consolidate initiatives and resources, share best practices, and build a unified program to better serve Hispanics. In addition to the CUNA board, Edgar serves as secretary of the board of directors of Make a Difference, is a board member for Arizona Saves and serves on the finance committee of Friendly House, one of Arizona's oldest nonprofit organizations serving the Hispanic population.
