BROOKFIELD, Wis. - Core banking software provider ITI, a unit of Fiserv, announced that it has partnered with VASCO Data Security to offer that company's Digipass multi-factor authentication products. Digipass is a line of what VASCO calls one-time password, or OTP, token devices. Each Digipass device is programmed with a unique algorithm that generates a different one-time password every 36 seconds. Once a user is ready to access home banking, he or she activates the Digipass device to obtain the password. Since the password expires in 36 seconds, this security system is completely immune to so-called phishing attacks. Many Digipass devices are small enough to carry on a keychain. Additional information is available at www.vasco.com.
