HELENA, Mont. - Rocky Mountain Credit Union donated $1,768 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief effort. The credit union donated a percentage of its VISA interchange income and encouraged its members to use their VISA debit and credit cards to effortlessly make a contribution to the relief effort. "We're proud that our members increased the use of their cards during these months to make a difference. Clearly, Montanans care and they care about more than what is just in their backyard. We're pleased that we could be a part of a greater effort occurring across the nation," said Rocky Mountain CU President/CEO Andrew Hawkinson. The American Red Cross and Montanans sent more than 200 volunteers, helped 158 families, trained more than 500 new volunteers, and raised more than $2 million for the hurricane relief effort.
