RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - CU Direct has named Phil Maniaci as vice president of sales and operations for the CUSO's new Eastern Division. Maniaci has been with CU Direct since November 2003 working as regional director, managing the CUSO's market development in the northeastern U.S. The Eastern Division includes CU Direct's Northeast, Mid Atlantic, Southeast and Midwest Business Units, spanning 28 states. CU Direct's Northern California, Southwest, Northwest, South Central, Mountain States and West Central Business Units remain under the leadership of John Carrington, vice president sales and operations for the Western Division. The restructure was effective Nov. 1. CU Direct's Jerry Neemann, senior vice president and COO, said by making the changes CU Direct feels it will strengthen its sales and operations team and make them more effective in the CUSO's expanding marketplace.
