SAN DIEGO - With a new in-store branch here, count Wescom Credit Union as the latest San Diego County resident. The move marks the credit union's strategic expansion into seven Southern California counties. The new branch will serve some 3,000 members. Located in Albertsons' City Heights Retail Village store, the in-store facility features three teller windows, an ATM, plasma screen, rate board, and a self-help area with a computer, printer, and phone. In addition, the branch has an office for providing services to members such as new accounts and loan closings. A team of six will run the full-service branch. "Our San Diego County resident members have been requesting a branch in their county for years and we are pleased to bring a Wescom location to their area," said Wescom CU President/CEO Darren Williams. "The San Diego market is important to increasing our membership and we plan to open additional branches in the future."
