ST. LOUIS - Design/build firm HBE Corporation has named Steven Schmitz vice president of sales for its Financial Facilities group. In his new position, Schmitz will be responsible for continuing the sales growth of the company's financial facilities design and construction in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska and North and South Dakota. Schmitz has 30 years of sales and sales management experience. Prior to joining HBE, he held similar positions with Mosler and Diebold. In addition, he worked as a senior account manager for Bankers Security in Kansas City, Missouri. Schmitz received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas.
