SAN FRANCISCO - CMG Mortgage Insurance Company (CMG MI) has named Bill Walker vice president of national sales. Walker's primary responsibilities will be to manage, direct and oversee all credit union sales activities for CMG MI. "Bill is a well-respected leader within the credit union mortgage lending industry, and his experience and knowledge will bring considerable value to our company and customers," said Brian Shepherd, senior vice president of CMG MI. "Bill will enhance CMG MI's credibility and our ability to offer mortgage insurance solutions for credit unions." With nearly two decades of credit union work experience, including the role of chief lending officer at California Credit Union and Financial Partners Credit Union Walker has also served on the Fannie Mae Advisory Council, the CMG MI Advisory Council, and on the board of directors for the American Credit Union Mortgage Association (ACUMA). He holds bachelors' degrees in Business Management and Business Administration. "I believe strongly in CMG MI's mission to support our credit union customers with educational and industry-specific initiatives that improve mortgage lending programs to their members throughout the country," said Walker.
