SEATTLE - PEMCO Technology Services has added a form of trip insurance to its platform of travel awards programs. The Seattle-based firm has deep roots in Washington credit unions and currently serves 235 card clients, most of them credit unions, which process their cards in-house. The new product, an Air Ticket Protection Plan, prevents travelers who find that their travel plans must unexpectedly change and who face forfeiting their ticket fares or hefty change fees. The plan also protects against lost and damaged baggage, as well as booking flights and hotel reservations, replacing lost or stolen travel documents, live e-mail and phone messages to family and friends and telephone language interpretation. The Air Ticket Protection Plan will be available to customers who take advantage of the PEMCO's flexible Extra and Signature Award Programs.
