PINE BROOK, N.J. - Credit unions that have considered changing their mortgage vendor relationship to CU National Mortgage but have hesitated making the decision because they've considered it too complicated now have a new tool to use to make the transfer easier. CU National Mortgage has come out with its new "Swift Shift" implementation program it says gives CUs of all sizes the ability to change vendors or transition from any type of current first mortgage program to the CU National program in 72 hours. CU National Mortgage CEO Michael McGrath said the company put the Swift Shift program into place "to help our new credit unions transition from their current mortgage program to our full service program as quickly and efficiently as possible." How does the program work? McGrath says marketing material will be distributed, staff will be trained on the CU National Mortgage system, custom Web applications will be created, internal systems will be customized and member education "will all begin within three days." He explained that in the past, some credit unions from a different vendor have moved to CU National Mortgage, and their biggest question has been "what will happen to our loans already in progress with the vendor we are leaving." McGrath says Swift Shift will make that process uncomplicated and doable.
