ARLINGTON, Va. - NASCUS has accepted an invitation by the House Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit to testify at a June 9th hearing on "Financial Services Regulatory Relief: The Regulator's View." Representing NASCUS at the hearing will be George Latham, Virginia Deputy Commissioner of Financial Institutions. According to NASCUS, Latham's testimony will focus on reforms that will strengthen the state system of credit union supervision and enhance the capabilities of state-chartered CUs to meet the financial needs of their members.
