CO-OP Network Board Gets Bigger, Adds New Chairman
ONTARIO, Calif. - CO-OP Network now the largest ATM network in the country that is still owned by financial institutions, has elected a new board chairman and added two more members to its board. David Maus, the CEO of the $635 million Public Service Credit Union, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, has been elected CO-OP Network Chairman of the Board. Maus succeeds Tom Sargent, the CEO of the $1.4 billion First Tech Credit Union in Beaverton, Oregon, whose two-year term expired but will remain on the board. Joining Maus as CO-OP Network Board officers are Vice Chairman Armando Cavazos, CEO of the $719 million Credit Union One in Ferndale, Michigan; Secretary David Osborn, CEO of the $705 million Anheuser-Busch Employees' Credit Union in St. Louis, Missouri; and Treasurer Mark Shobe, CEO of the $1.7 billion DFCU Financial, in Dearborn, Michigan. Additionally, Douglas Allman, CEO of the $710 million NASA Federal Credit Union in Upper Marlboro Maryland and Rick Craig, CEO of the $3 billion America First Credit Union in Ogden, Utah have been selected to join the CO-OP Network Board. "With an ATM presence in every state and nearly 2,000 member credit unions across the country, CO-OP Network strives to have its board of directors reflect our expanding national geography," says CO-OP Network CEO Robert Rose. "Our most recent board elections certainly fulfill this directive. "Tom Sargent's tenure as board chair was a time of remarkable CO-OP Network growth, including last year's record one billion annual transactions," Rose said. "We are certainly indebted to Tom for his service, and now we're lucky to have an industry leader like Dave Maus ready to direct the Network. He's been a member of our board since 2000, he's been an integral part of the credit union movement for more than 32 years, and his wealth of industry knowledge and insights will continue to guide CO-OP Network expansion as a full-service processor." Maus, the CEO of Public Service Credit Union since 1982, is the past Chairman of CUNA and past Chairman of CUNA's Governmental Affairs Committee.
