COMSTAR FCU Deploys Disaster Recovery, Content Distribution Tools

CLARKSBURG, Md. - COMSTAR Federal Credit Union is now using continuous application and information availability software from XOsoft to ensure the reliability of data flow throughout its technology infrastructure. The $168 million CU in suburban Washington is using XOsoft's WANSyncHA Exchange to ensure uninterrupted availability to its communication infrastructure, WANSync Server to provide continuous, redundant availability to its network-attached storage, and WANSyncCD to ensure distributed files across channels and locations are accurate and up to date. "As a financial institution, COMSTAR is in the unique situation of handling data that may literally equal money and simply cannot be lost," says Stephen Jones, vice president of information systems at the 19,800-member CU. Leonid Shtilman, CEO of XOsoft in Burlington, Mass., says, "COMSTAR and its members gain another layer of support to ensure mission-critical applications and information will always be available."
