NAFCU Names Chanow Director of Political Affairs

ARLINGTON, Va.-NAFCU recently divided up its legislative and political affairs departments and has called on veteran lobbyist Murray Chanow to head up the political division. Brad Thaler, who was previously director of both offices, will remain the director of legislative affairs. Chanow previously headed up the legislative and political affairs department before taking some time off when his first child was born and returned as NAFCU's senior legislative representative. Chanow explained that the growth of NAFCU's political action committee, NAFCU/PAC, and the group's increased participation in the political conventions, inauguration, and elsewhere drove the change.
