Members CU New Checking Promo Delivers Cash

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. - A recent Members Credit Union checking promotion has given one member about 250 reasons why it pays to be member. Connie Baggett has won $250 during the Members CU The Buck$ Start Here promotion. Designed to encourage members to sign up for the credit union's no fee checking accounts, the promotion slated to run through April gives every member approved for a checking account a scratch off card for a chance to win cash prizes ranging from $5 to $250. "Credit unions are well-known for their great auto loan rates and high savings account returns," said Members CU Vice President of Marketing Eric Stiff. "What too often gets overlooked is our free checking accounts. This promotion is a way to remind everyone about this great product." Baggett immediately deposited her winnings into a savings account. "My pastor has been teaching our church about saving money and helping ourselves rise out of poverty," said Baggett speaking of her affiliation with New Faith Holiness Church in Fayetteville. "You never know what may happen to you, so it's good to have something to fall back on."
