Hanley Elected to CFA Board

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Rudy Hanley, president/CEO, Orange County Teachers FCU, has been elected to the board of directors of the Consumer Federation of America by the organization's membership. Hanley was elected to a three-year term on the 40-member CFA board at the annual meeting March 12. He joins five other credit union leaders on the CFA Board, such as Pete Crear, CUNA EVP, external relations; and Cutler Dawson, CEO, Navy FCU. According to CFA Executive Director Stephen Brobeck, the organization's nominating committee recommended adding another CU representative to the board when there was a vacancy because of CUs' increased participation with CFA over the past 15 years. The committee wanted to nominate a credit union board member from the West Coast. Hanley was recommended by California credit union leaders.
