NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. - CU Village and MeridianLink are now jointly offering a Web-based system to allow credit union members to apply online for loans and find out within 30 seconds whether they have been approved or forwarded for review. The product is called LoanDecision+ and also stores information that credit unions can use to cross-sell other loan products, including credit cards, said Todd Mason, chief operating officer of CU Village, a CUSO that originated with the Michigan Credit Union League. "Now credit unions can realize efficiencies in areas they never thought possible. Credit union members will also benefit from the convenience of being able to apply for a loan online and obtaining a decision almost instantly," Mason said. "Partnering with CU Village creates a mutually beneficial relationship that helps credit unions of all sizes become highly proficient lenders without the cost barriers that are normally associated with this type of technology," said Edward Guerin, director of credit union development for MeridianLink, a California-based credit and lending applications developer.
