TEMPE, Ariz. - Next year school is in for credit union marketing professionals. Created by LEMMON-AID Marketing Services and LemmonTree Consulting Group with an advisory group that includes university professionals and credit union industry executives, Credit Union Marketing University will make its debut in February. The week-long program focuses on strategic marketing planning at an academic level that includes strategic analysis, marketing planning guides, budgeting tools, worksheets for marketing cost recovery and return on investment. The curriculum also requires completion of a project that includes the creation of a loan promotion plan students will present to a credit union CEO, clearly justifying marketing costs and showing bottom-line results. Graduates may earn 3.4 continuing education units from Arizona State University. "The key to the CU Marketing University is how it connects the dots from the academics of marketing and applies them directly to practical solutions for credit union marketers working in today's economy," said ASU Marketing Professor Emeritus Dr. David Gourley, who helped develop the program. The program will be offered twice, February 2-6, 2004 and September 27-October 1, 2004.
