SAN DIEGO - California Coast Credit Union has created a $100,000 relief fund for members who lost their homes in the recent southern California wildfires. "The tragedy of these devastating wildfires has touched all of us in San Diego in some way," said CCCU President/CEO Jim McPheters. "We are here to help and offer whatever assistance we can provide in order to help victims put their lives back together again as quickly and painlessly as possible under the circumstances." Members can receive a $1,000 donation to help in their rebuilding efforts. In addition, CCCU has established an Emergency Financial Services Hotline number with representatives on hand to answer questions ranging from delaying or reducing loan payments on existing loans and priority loan processing for any cash needs, to increasing credit lines and receiving free replacement checks, credit and debit cards. Donations are limited to a maximum of 100 eligible members and all requests must be received by November 30, 2003.
