WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Pacific Service Credit Union is doing its part to prevent elderly abuse. The $950 million credit union has donated $5,000 to The California Community Partnership for the Prevention of Financial Abuse (CCPPFA) efforts in Contra Costa County. CCPPFA is a non-profit partnership of financial institutions, adult social services and law enforcement agencies working together to prevent the financial exploitation of California's elderly and dependent adults. In addition, CCPPFA coordinates and develops training for financial institutions, raises public awareness about the severity of the problem and empowers elderly and dependent adults to protect themselves from abuse through community education programs.
