NASHVILLE - During a recent visit to Nashville all three NCUA Board members -Chairman Dennis Dollar, Vice Chairman JoAnn Johnson and Deborah Matz - and some NCUA staffers took time to visit with the $1.3 billion Volunteer Corporate, the corporate for Tennessee credit unions. The NCUA leaders were given an up-close look at VolCorp's brand-new facility and the inner workings of the corporate. "We were honored to share VolCorp's vision and commitment to the credit union movement with the NCUA Board," said VolCorp President/CEO Bruce Fahnestock. VolCorp relocated into a bigger facility to better house its expanding operations. Back in 1981 it had just four employees and $38 million assets. Today it employs 53 people and has $1.3 billion in assets, serving 240 CUs in Tennessee, and 21 credit unions in Alabama, Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina, and West Virginia.
